Despite waning popular interest and regular protests at many venues throughout the world, bullfighting is a ritual alive and well in many countries.  From 20 feet away you can clearly see that during a "fight", the bulls are confused, scared and in terrible pain. I have no doubt that the bulls comprehend the situation fully and that during their last moments, they know they are about to die.
